The municipal council hopes to collaborate with Bandar Primer Kluang to transform Kluang into the most eye-catching district in Johor and promote rapid commercial development of Kluang. It will replace the existing Kluang city to become the most development potential region in central Johor.
Bandar Primer Kluang also received a certificate of appreciation from the state government on 1st January 2024, upon establishment of the secondary city, upgrading economic growth of Kluang District, creating job opportunities, discovering the talents of the younger generation and attracting interest of external investors.
Bandar Primer Kluang, which covers an area of 258 acres of freehold land, has 6 government administrative buildings including the District Office, Land Office, Municipal Council, Inland Revenue Board, Federal Government Building, and Senior Civil Servants Training Centre. It benefits all residents of Kluang by providing one-stop services. With approximately 1,300 staff members and visitors attending government offices, it will constitute a substantial market.
The Johor Northern Headquarters of the Inland Revenue Board Building (built by Majupadu) covers Kluang, Batu Pahat, Segamat, Mersing, Kota Tinggi, and Muar districts. It also forms a flow of external consumers in this commercial city.
Within Bandar Primer Kluang, the Lotus’s Hypermarket has started operating whereas Habib Group (Golden Resources) will introduce its brands, the largest 3- acres indoor sports complex, aiming to elevate the healthy living standards in Kluang and provide a great place to go.
The SJK(C) Chiau Min, will be relocated to 6 acres of land, to become the largest Chinese ‘primary school in Kluang in the future. Additionally, there are future projects for a government university, a 9-storey resort-style hotel, the largest conference and exhibition hall, a petrol station, and a Drive-Thru.
This commercial city, which integrates modern cuisine, leisure, and entertainment, will provide investors with higher rental returns and enhance the value of their properties. It will shape Kluang into a vibrant and prosperous primate city.
With a hefty investment, the first double-row shops have been elaborately designed, featuring a 1.5-acre central garden. The headquarters of the Kluang Municipal Council will relocate to this commercial city in November, and the District Office and Land Office set to commence construction soon.
